Last week, I had an interesting and thought-provoking conversation with my acquaintance Nittin.

We met at a yoga ashram during My and mom’s visit to the Indian Multiversities Alliance meet, and our conversation covered a wide range of topics, from technology to sustainable living.

Nittin shared some of the exciting things he has been working on lately. For instance, he discussed content designing for the Farm Bot, a project he was presenting to colleges and schools.

I was fascinated by the idea of using technology to promote farming practices and Nittin’s passion for the project.

As we talked, we delved deeper into his website and explored the world of creative websites. Nittin explained how he used coding languages for web development and how it has helped him create websites that are fast, responsive, and user-friendly. I was impressed by his technical knowledge and his ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.

Nittin also told me about Auroville, the place where he lives. Auroville is a unique community in southern India that follows sustainable living practices. The people living there are committed to creating a better world by living in harmony with nature. Nittin’s passion for Auroville was palpable, and he spoke eloquently about the community’s values and vision.

Overall, it was a great conversation that left me feeling inspired. I learned a lot from Nittin and his passion for technology and sustainable living, and I look forward to our next chat.

There are many benefits to having like-minded friends! Here are some of the key advantages:

Shared Interests and Deeper Connections: You can easily bond over مشتركة (mushtarika - common) interests and hobbies, leading to richer conversations and activities you can enjoy together.

Mutual Support and Encouragement: When you share goals or passions, your friends can be your biggest cheerleaders. They understand your aspirations and can provide encouragement  when you face challenges.

Sense of Belonging and Acceptance:  Being around people who "get" you fosters a sense of belonging and acceptance. You can feel comfortable expressing yourself openly without judgment.

Brainstorming and Problem-Solving:  Having friends with similar perspectives can be a great asset for brainstorming and problem-solving.  They can offer fresh ideas and challenge your thinking in a supportive way.

Exposure to New Ideas: Even within shared interests, there can be  اختلافات (ikhtilafāt - differences) in approach. Like-minded friends can introduce you to new perspectives within your area of interest, helping you grow and learn.

Motivation and Inspiration:  Seeing your friends pursue their goals can motivate you to stay on track with your own ambitions. Their successes can inspire you to reach for greater heights.

So, surrounding yourself with like-minded friends can create a positive and supportive network that fuels your personal and professional growth.
